Join the Blooming Prairie Branch Library for a Community Read honoring our 50th anniversary as a library!
What is a Community Read?
Think of it like a community-wide book club! We are reading the 1976 bestseller Sleeping Murder by Agatha Christie in honor of our library opening that same year.
When is it?
Right now! You have until early November to get ahold of a copy and read it. Then, we’ll all get together on Thursday, November 5 at 5:30pm for a community discussion – we’ll share our thoughts, enjoy some refreshments, and maybe even win some door prizes!
Who can participate?
Anyone who considers themselves part of the Blooming Prairie Branch Library’s community! The more the merrier!
Need help finding a copy?

There are several free, thrifted copies available from the library on a first-come-first-served basis. These copies are available to take without needing to check them out. When you’re finished with it, bring it back so it’s available for the next person or pass it on to a friend who would also be interested in participating! There are also several copies circulating within the SELCO system that you can check out. These will be treated as standard library books. Copies of the digital eBook and eAudiobook are also available via the Hoopla app, which you can access with your Blooming Prairie Brach Library card.
